PayPal today announced that they have signed an agreement with OpenAI, which will allow PayPal wallets to be integrated directly into ChatGPT, making it easier for users to make payments for their product purchases through ChatGPT.
PayPal aims for this integration to take effect as early as 2026. This will allow various transactions to be easily carried out directly on ChatGPT using PayPal.
Previously, OpenAI was ready to collaborate with Shopify and integrate direct purchase support on ChatGPT without having to leave it. In addition to Shopify, OpenAI has also announced collaborations with Etsy and Walmart.
