Last week, Damiral Imran, a hardcore Pokemon card collector in Penang, went viral on social media after he advertised the sale of his collection on Facebook. Today, he announced that this collection had been successfully sold for RM1.87 million.
The identity of the buyer of this collection was not revealed by Damiral through a post on Facebook. The ad uploaded went viral because of its large size and that he asked for payment in the form of a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S car and RM1 million in cash. Although RM1.87 million seems large, the actual value of his collection on the open market is RM2.02 million if sold separately.
The world record for the highest Pokemon card sale is held by Logan Paul. In July 2022, he bought a Pikachu Illustrator card for $5.275 million (~RM22.23 million).
