After Sora was launched a few weeks ago, issues arose that the generated videos violated copyright, forcing OpenAI to block the characters Mario, Sonic. Michael Jackson and Martin Luther King were generated. Artificial intelligence (AI) models trained using other people's IP without permission are a big issue that has led to several lawsuits being filed.
Yesterday, Adobe AI Foundry was launched, allowing IP holders to train generative AI models using their own data. With the help of Adobe Firefly, IP holders can develop models that will not infringe on other companies' IP and are safe to use for commercial purposes.
AI Foundry can generate text, images, videos and even 3D objects, just like Adobe Firefly was able to do before. It is marketed to commercial customers who want to use generative AI but do not want to infringe on other companies' property rights and are worried that the generated AI will not be consistent with previously produced work.
Initial customers of AI Foundry are Home Depot and Walt Disney Imagineering.
