NameDrop is a feature in iOS 17 that allows files to be sent between two devices by simply placing them near each other. In addition to files, personal information such as phone numbers and emails can also be shared between two iOS devices through the feature. Now Google is developing the same feature on Android according to a report by Android Authority.
A new system called Gesture Exchange was found in the latest Play Store code. In Gesture Exchange, there is a Contact Exchange feature that allows sending information between two Android devices between Android devices.
Users can choose what information they want to share by providing a photo, phone number and email. The recipient can also choose which information they want to receive through Contact Exchange. The feature is still in development and may change its name when it is launched later.
