Huawei previously produced smart glasses known as Huawei Vision Glass and is now reportedly developing a new, more interesting version based on the latest patent application. It is said to be equipped with a removable strap that can be converted into a smart ring.
More interestingly, this ring is not just an accessory but also functions as the main control device to operate the interface of the smart glasses. It can be worn on the finger and used for various controls such as motion recognition.
When stored back into the headset, the ring supports basic controls such as taps and swipes. It will also automatically recharge when reinserted into the device, thus making a separate controller no longer necessary.
Logically, it is seen as a pretty interesting solution. However, the extent of its effectiveness in real use is still uncertain. In any case, it should be remembered that this is just a patent application by Huawei and will not necessarily be a real product on the market.
