Portable storage is getting smaller and yesterday the SanDisk Extreme Fit USB-C was launched as the world's smallest 1TB USB drive. It measures just 18.5 × 15.7 × 13.6 mm, making it barely noticeable on laptops and smartphones when in use.
The drive supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface, which allows data transfers of up to 400MB/s. In addition to the 1TB version, SanDisk also offers storage in 64, 128, 256 and 512 GB sizes. According to SanDisk, this compact USB drive is designed to be installed and then never removed.
As someone who has accidentally broken a USB drive because they forgot it was connected to their computer, the SanDisk Extreme Fit USB-C can prevent it from happening again. The drive is not yet available in Malaysia, but in the United States the 1TB version is sold for $109.99 (~RM 460) each.
