Wikipedia has locked an article on the genocide in Gaza due to a dispute over the use of language by the editors who made the edits. Wikipedia founder Jimmy Whales said the article violated the terms of service which require content to be written in neutral language. As long as the editors do not resolve the dispute, the article will remain locked.
The article should have been able to be edited again at 5.47 am this morning Malaysia time but the manga icon indicating that editing cannot be done is still clearly displayed. Among other things, Wales with this article is that he claims that the claim that Israel is committing genocide is debatable.
His opinion received opposition from several article editors who said that the United Nations, NGOs and world legislative bodies have already confirmed that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza. Wales was also criticized for saying that all articles on Wikipedia should be neutral while the article about the earth being a sphere was never asked to accept the opinions of flat-earthers because it is not based on scientific facts.
