DJI Products to Be Banned in the United States Starting December 23

In the middle of this year, we reported that products from the leading Chinese imaging company, DJI, would be banned at the end of this year. DJI has confirmed that if the US government does not conduct any audit, all DJI products will be banned from sale in the market starting December 23, 2025.

DJI also confirmed that this will affect all DJI products, not just drones as previously reported. In addition to drones, their action cameras will also be affected by this order, and all products under the brand will have to be pulled from product sales shelves across the country. Through the statement issued, it seems that newly launched products will also not be allowed to be brought into the country.

Those who already own DJI products can continue to use them as usual, but the probability that DJI will not be allowed to sell products that are already on the US market after that date is seen as very high.

According to US Customs and Border Protection, the ban on the products is due to DJI violating the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act, which DJI has said is false.

DJI has also reportedly tried to get the attention of several national agencies such as the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and National Security Agency to initiate a security audit process, but none of the agencies have responded to the company's inquiries.

DJI will become the latest Chinese company after Huawei and ZTE to be officially added to the FCC Covered List, which bans new products from entering the US market. Not only that, the FCC can also ban products that have already received clearance, forcing DJI to no longer sell its products even if they are already on the market.
