At CES 2026, AMD also showed off its latest laptop processors, including the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 392, AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 388, AMD Ryzen AI Halo and AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D.
This is in addition to the previously launched AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor, which is used in the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 laptop. Each of these processors comes in configurations of 12 cores and 24 threads (Ryzen AI Max+ 392) and eight cores and 16 threads (Ryzen AI Max+ 388), and both come with RDNA 3.5 graphics processors with 40 built-in processing cores.
Where these two processors differ is that it seems that the Ryzen AI Max+ 392 model will be used for laptops or small computers with different designs that still want powerful performance, not too different from what is offered through the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 chip.
As for the Ryzen AI Max+ 382 chip, this processor chip seems to be more suitable for mobile game consoles, perhaps for console manufacturers who want a more powerful chip compared to the AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme chip.
In the meantime, AMD also launched the Ryzen AI Halo processor chip for small PC makers who need a lot of AI processing power. This processor chip is capable of running a language model with 200 billion parameters with the help of 128GB of built-in memory and an AMD RDNA 3.5 graphics processor chip with 60TFLOPs of processing power.
For gamers who are looking for a processor chip to build a new computer, AMD also introduced the AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D processor chip. This processing chip comes with eight physical cores and 16 power threads and comes with a base speed of 4.7GHz that can be overclocked up to 5.6GHz.
With a cache of 104MB, this makes it easier for the CPU components to access and process data faster and helps in improving graphics processing performance in games.
These latest processing chip offerings from AMD are expected to enter the market in the first and second quarters of this year.
