Alphabet, the company behind Google, has now overtaken Apple, becoming the second most valuable company in the world. At the time of writing, Alphabet has a market value of $3.892 trillion, while Apple has a market value of $3.863 trillion.
This is also the first time Google has surpassed Apple since 2019.
Alphabet is seen to have a strategic position in the artificial intelligence arena, where they develop chips, models and also provide offerings to public users. In fact, with integration with various other Google services, it makes Google's position as a very strategic artificial intelligence provider compared to others.
In addition, Google also has the world's leading streaming platform, YouTube, and has begun expanding its Waymo robotaxis transportation service.
Meanwhile, in comparison, Apple is seen to be somewhat behind in the artificial intelligence arena, and some of the features promised by Apple have experienced delays in introduction.
