Lenovo Shows Two Laptops With Rollable Screens, Smart Glasses and Smart Screens At CES

CES is a field where new technologies are shown as concepts before being offered as real products. Once again, Lenovo came to the CES floor with four screen and glasses technology innovations that they have never offered before.

The most interesting product is the Legion Pro Rollable Concept with a screen that can change from 16” to 21.5” and 24”. This is done with a rollable screen that opens to the side allowing it to become a laptop with an ultra-wide screen. Lenovo PureSight OLED Gaming technology is used to offer attractive visuals for gamers.

In Focus Mode it is 16” large enough for doing work. Then in Tactical Mode it grows to 21.5” suitable for FPS games. Finally, Arena Mode makes it even wider at 24” allowing the display of other content such as chat, and other applications to be displayed simultaneously with the game being played. Legion Pro Rollable is based on a Legion Pro 7i with Intel Core Ultra chips, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card.

ThinkPad Rollable XD Concept is a more interesting concept with the screen expanding from 13.3″ to 16″ through Lenovo Qira voice commands or pressing a button. There is another additional screen on the back that allows the computer to still be used when the lid is not opened. Various important information such as notes, and calendars are displayed at all times on this secondary screen.

Lenovo AI Glasses Concept is a pair of smart glasses that also integrates a camera and Lenovo Qira AI virtual assistant. It can be connected to smartphones and PCs. There is no screen built into the glasses but it has a built-in speaker for listening to music or making phone calls. The glasses weigh only 45g with a battery that lasts up to 8 hours.

Lenovo Smart Sense Display Concept is a smart screen with a 27-inch UHD screen. It supports wired and wireless connections to mobile phones, laptops and tablets. It also has a built-in virtual assistant controlled by voice and a touch pad. A camera is also placed on the top.

All of these products are still in the concept stage. But Lenovo has offered several products that were originally concepts and became real products after a few years. So it's possible that all of these concept devices will become reality in the near future.
