Mobile Consoles With Intel Core Ultra Series 3 Chips to Launch This Year

The PC mobile console arena is currently completely dominated by the AMD Ryzen Z series, powered by the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X and Lenovo Legion Go Gen 2. The MSI Claw, which uses Intel Core Ultra chips, is disappointing due to its poor performance. This morning, Intel confirmed that a mobile console will be launched this year with the Intel Core Ultra Series 3 chip.

Information about the console to be launched has not yet been revealed. But the graphics shared by Intel show Acer, MSI, GPD and Microsoft as among the companies involved in this project. The mobile console with the Intel Core Ultra Series 3 chip is certainly interesting because of the high GPU performance improvement compared to the previous generation.

The Intel Arc B390 iGPU used is up to 77% better than the Arc 140V iGPU used by Lunar Lake and 73% better than the RDNA 3.5 AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 iGPU. When paired with XeSS 3 software, this iGPU also supports AI-based frame generation for smoother graphics.
