Sony is ready to form a joint venture with Honda, namely Sony Honda Mobility. Under it, several prototype vehicle models have previously been introduced, named Afeela.
At the CES 2026 event this year, Sony Honda Mobility continued to show another prototype electric car under the Afeela brand. It is a variation of the Afeela 1 with a number of changes to the design, including the interior.
It was also confirmed that Sony Honda Mobility will start selling their first electric vehicle this year, starting in the United States. The Afeela 1 is expected to cost around $90,000, which is around RM365,000. It is not yet known whether Sony Honda Mobility will improve and change the specifications offered compared to the initial prototype a few years ago.
Apart from driving, Sony Honda Mobility is also expected to focus on interior features, especially infotainment and in-vehicle entertainment in attracting buyers to get the vehicle.
