Airbnb is introducing a ‘Reserve Now, Pay Later’ feature for Malaysians. This feature allows users to book accommodation without having to make an immediate payment, giving them more freedom in planning their trip. The feature only applies to listings with a moderate or flexible cancellation policy where payment must be made before the free cancellation period ends.
The cancellation policy set by hosts will remain in place to ensure they have time to secure a new booking if guests cancel. This move is in response to the growing demand for flexibility, especially for large group travel such as families, which involves large expenses.
