Artificial intelligence technology developer OpenAI and component manufacturers are partners, with OpenAI purchasing and using NVIDIA’s AI processing components.
Last year, an agreement was signed for NVIDIA to make a long-term investment in OpenAI worth $100 billion. Recently, OpenAI has opened a new investment round to raise $100 billion, and according to several reports, NVIDIA and OpenAI have agreed to convert their existing investment agreement into a new investment.
Under this new investment, NVIDIA will invest $30 billion in OpenAI at once, most of which will be for the development of OpenAI’s infrastructure, which includes the development of the Stargate project, which is the world’s largest AI infrastructure project to date.
