Nintendo announced their financial report this morning and confirmed that the Nintendo Switch has sold over 155.37 million units since its launch in 2017. It has finally overtaken the Nintendo DS as the console with the highest sales in Nintendo's history which sold 154.02 million units since 2004.
Nintendo Switch is now only behind Sony PlayStation 2 as the console with the highest sales in the world. It has sold over 160 million units since its launch in 2000.
In the same development, a total of 17.4 million units of Switch 2 have been successfully sold until the end of 2025. It is also the fastest Nintendo console to reach this sales figure in history. With encouraging sales since its launch last year, Nintendo is targeting 19 million units sold before the end of fiscal year 2025 on March 31.
