Almost five years ago, we reported that Saudi Arabia wanted to build the world's tallest, longest, and fastest roller coaster, with a target opening date of 2024. After several delays, Six Flags Qiddiya City has finally officially opened near Riyadh as part of the Qiddiya project to transform the city into a global tourism and entertainment hub.
Six Flags Qiddiya City is the first to open outside the United States, housing 28 rides in a 32-hectare (45 football fields) theme park. It features Falcon's Flight, the world's tallest (195 meters), longest (4,325 meters), and fastest roller coaster, with speeds reaching 250 km/h.
It also houses the Iron Rattler, the world's tallest tilt-coaster (63.4 meters), the Spitfire, the world's tallest inverted loop roller coaster (73 meters) and the Sirocco Tower, the world's tallest free-fall tower (145 meters).
Qiddiya will also soon house the world's largest e-sports stadium, Aquarabia water park, Mercedes-AMG World of Performance theme park and Dragon Ball theme park.
