The game that is currently going viral is Crimson Desert developed by Pearl Abyss. Immediately after its launch, PC owners with Intel Arc GPUs reported that the game was not supported, with Pearl Abyss itself saying that requesting a refund was the best course of action.
After two days of receiving criticism from customers, Pearl Abyss has now apologized for the “confusion” in their FAQ regarding Intel Arc GPU support. They now say that they are developing an update to add compatibility with Intel Arc GPUs and provide optimal performance to card owners. There is no final date for when the update to support Intel Arc will be provided, with Pearl Abyss simply asking users to be patient.
PC owners’ frustration with Intel Arc has increased after Intel said that they had contacted Pearl Abyss several times to offer cooperation while Crimson Desert was being developed. Speculation arose that Intel Arc was not supported because only a small percentage of PC owners were using it compared to discrete GPUs from NVIDIA and AMD.
