Grab Malaysia today shared a new initiative to give female users more choice, comfort and peace of mind while traveling, through the introduction of a women-only ride-hailing service, or “Women-Only Rides” in Beta form.
For this introductory phase, it is offered under the Advanced Booking feature in the Klang Valley only. Through it, it will match female passengers with female driver companions. Grab said this option will only be displayed to female users.
At the same time, Grab emphasized that passengers need to complete a one-time verification process using MyKad to verify their gender before they can access this service.
