Pico has announced Project Swan, their latest VR headset, which will be released this year. It is a pair of flagship VR headsets equipped with a new generation of Micro-OLED screens with a pixel density of almost 4,000 PPI on the screen.
Also revealed is that it will be powered by a chip with a CPU and GPU that is twice as powerful as the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 used in their previous headsets. Two of the chips will be included, one from the flagship class and the other is Pico's own chip that controls the image processing and computer vision. All of this is processed with a latency of just 12ms.
The leaked image shared refers to a counterpart that looks like the Apple Vision Pro complete with glass on the front. The headset will be launched later this year and will be offered to the global market.
