Sony Increases PlayStation 5 Prices Worldwide Starting April 2

Sony has announced that the selling prices of the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro and PlayStation Portal will be increased worldwide starting April 2, 2026. They said that while they are aware of the impact of the price increase on the community, it is necessary to do so to ensure that they can continue to offer “innovative video game experiences” to global players.

So far, only the new prices for the United States, UK, Japan and Europe have been announced, with the Malaysian selling price not yet displayed on Sony’s official website. Our review this morning found that only the PlayStation 5 Disc Console (Slim) and PlayStation Portal in white are still available for purchase, with other models sold out.
