Tecno is a Chinese smartphone brand known for its affordable offerings for those who don’t want to spend a lot of money on their devices, but still want good performance and interesting features on their devices.
Because of this, the Tecno Camon 50 Ultra 5G was launched at the Mobile World Congress 2026 event today, showcasing their latest and most powerful offering yet.
The smartphone comes with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The display also supports HDR10 display technology and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Not only that, it also has an under-display optical fingerprint scanner for faster device login.
The device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate processor and is loaded with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X memory and 256GB of storage and runs the HiOS 16 operating system which is based on Google's latest operating system, Android 16. Tecno also promises to update the operating system for the next three versions.
The rear display design used is seen to be similar to the recently introduced Tecno Camon 50 Pro 5G, along with a triple-lens camera module consisting of a 50MP wide lens, a 50MP telephoto lens and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. The back of the device is also protected by Gorilla Glass 7i and is certified durable with MIL-STD-810 certification.
Meanwhile, it is also loaded with a 6500mAH battery and supports 45W fast charging. Meanwhile, this device also comes with support for WiFi 6 wireless connectivity, Bluetooth, NFC and FM radio networks. It will also come in orange, purple, black and green color options.
Currently, Tecno has not yet announced when they will start selling the Tecno Camon 50 Ultra 5G device, but Tecno Malaysia has confirmed that it will enter the local market soon.
