Tencent has launched ClawBot, a new tool that connects WeChat with OpenClaw’s artificial intelligence (AI) agent. ClawBot appears as a contact in WeChat, allowing over 1 billion users to send commands directly to the AI agent simply by using messages.
Clawbot can manage and send emails, send files across apps, perform multi-step tasks, and interact with various apps and services within WeChat.
Tencent has previously launched its own AI agents, WorkBuddy for enterprises, QClaw for individual users, and Lighthouse for developers. OpenClaw’s popularity has grown this year with it gaining a reputation as an AI agent that can replace a variety of human tasks, including software development.
In addition to Tencent, NVIDIA has also recently launched NemoClaw, an open-source OpenClaw competitor complete with security and privacy tools. Meanwhile, Alibaba has launched Wukong, an enterprise AI platform that coordinates multiple AI agents for complex tasks such as document editing and meeting transcription.
