Netflix is ready to withdraw from the acquisition of part of Warner Bros. Discovery, thus indicating that Paramount may become the new owner of the video content company. The latest report says that Tencent may invest several hundred million in this acquisition, thus helping Paramount.
It is said that Tencent will only help financially for now, and will not be involved in any operations and others. For your information, Tencent is ready to have a minority stake in Paramount. However, it is not known whether this will continue or not.
