Last week, we reported that Telekom Malaysia (TM) has signed a new three-year agreement with Malaysia's second 5G network developer, U Mobile, as the preferred network for their mobile internet services, thus cancelling the existing agreement with Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB).
DNB has just released a statement that the 5G network usage contract signed with TM is valid until 2032. For TM to cancel the contract, there are a number of specific conditions that need to be met before early termination can be done and agreed.
DNB said that TM has not yet implemented these early termination conditions to cancel the Access Agreement contract. As such, DNB will not accept cancellation of the existing contract, and it will remain in force for the specified period until TM meets the conditions for early termination.
