ChatGPT is now available in Apple CarPlay, making the voice mode experience more practical while driving. This was announced by OpenAI in a recent tweet today.
With this update, iPhone users using devices with iOS 26.4 and above can fully access ChatGPT through CarPlay in cars that support it. This means that users can use ChatGPT hands-free, i.e. with just their voice, without having to touch the screen.
This feature can not only improve safety by keeping their attention on the road, but also makes it easier to get information without distracting their focus while driving. Again, it is important to note that it is only available to iPhone devices with iOS 26.4 and above and the rollout will be done in stages.
