Claude for Word launched this morning and works directly within Microsoft Word, making the process of writing and researching documents easier without having to open another window for Claude.
Through direct integration into Microsoft Word, users can select text, give prompts, and all edits made by Claude will be clearly labeled in the document. Users can give instructions such as changing intonation or writing style. Each reference link in the document can be checked before being added and is still clickable for confirmation by the reader.
Another interesting feature is Skills where teams can save workflows such as contract reviews, status memos, research summaries. Skills allow teams to run the same process over and over again with consistent results.
Claude Word does much of the same thing that Copilot can do now that it is also built into Word. Claude for Word is currently offered in beta for Claude Team and Enterprise plan customers.
