The Huawei AI Glasses smart glasses were launched yesterday with a built-in camera, speaker and the latest artificial intelligence (AI) system. Like all smart glasses on the market today, they are designed to be tethered to a smartphone.
Two designs of Huawei Glasses are offered, one with a plastic frame while the other with a titanium bottom frame. A 12MP camera is placed on the front of the frame and can record 1920 × 1440 pixel videos. 30FPS and 4096 × 3072 pixel photos. The camera also has an EIS system.
This is matched with stereo speakers and a 252 mAh battery that provides up to 12 hours of use. The glasses are fully charged in 45 minutes using a magnetic connection on the right stem.
There is 64GB of storage with all the contents of the glasses can be transferred to the phone using the Huawei AI Glasses application. The glasses weigh between 44-48.3 grams depending on the lens with the body passing the IP54 standard.
On the left stem there is a dedicated button to invoke AI while on the right stem there is a button to take a picture and a touchpad to control audio complete with gesture detection support.
The retail price for the Huawei AI Glass is RMB 2499 (~RM 1448) for the plastic frame version and RMB 2899 (RM 1679) for the titanium frame.
