Today, Huawei has unveiled the Huawei Pura 90 smartphone series, which now comes with three new model offerings, including the Huawei Pura 90Berm, Huawei Pura 90 Pro and Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max.

Starting with the Huawei Pura 90, this smartphone comes with a 6.8-inch display at FHD+ resolution (2856 × 1320 pixels) with high-frequency screen dimming and a dynamic refresh rate as low as 1Hz and as high as 120Hz depending on settings and usage patterns.

It is powered by the same HiSilicon Kirin 9010S processor chip featured in the Huawei Pura 80 device series and comes with memory and storage configuration options of 12GB/256GB, 12/512GB and 16GB/512GB.

In terms of camera offerings, the Huawei Pura 90 is loaded with a 12.5MP ultra-wide-angle camera with an f2.2 aperture, a 50MP main camera with an f1.8 aperture and a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.7x optical zoom. It also has a fourth lens that is used to ensure the color accuracy of photos and videos captured using this camera system.

The front-facing camera also comes with a dual-camera system with a 50MP camera and the same color accuracy lens as on the rear.

What is also quite interesting is that this device comes with a 6500mAH battery, higher even compared to the previous Huawei Pura 80 Ultra, which came with a 5170mAH battery.

Moving on to the Huawei Pura 90 Pro and Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max models, the first thing you will notice is that the branding of this smart device has been changed to more closely resemble the branding of the Apple iPhone.

The Huawei Pura 90 Pro comes with a 6.6-inch OLED display, while the Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max packs a 6.9-inch OLED display with the same FHD+ resolution as the base model, and leverages LTPO refresh technology for more efficient battery consumption.

For added durability, the display also uses the latest version of Kunlun durable glass and also comes with an anti-reflective coating for the best screen viewing experience in various types of lighting.

Powering both devices is Huawei's latest processor chip, the HiSilicon Kirin 9030S. Huawei says that with this chip, the Pura 90 Pro and Pro Max devices come with 200 percent better AI capabilities for image understanding, a 43 percent improvement in the AI color engine, 110 percent improved telephoto image accuracy, and a 30% improvement in AI anti-shake capabilities.

The memory and storage offerings on both models are also the same as what was seen on the Huawei Pura 90.

The Huawei Pura 90 Pro's camera system consists of a 12.5MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 50MP main camera with a large 1/1.28-inch sensor, and supports a variable aperture range of f1.4-f4.0 with optical image stabilization (OIS) and RYYB color spectrum. The third camera is a 50MP telephoto camera with 4X optical zoom and 8x optical zoom.

As for the Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max, it comes with a 50MP main camera with LOFIC technology, 10-stop physical variable aperture and OIS. The ultra-wide-angle camera comes with a 40MP sensor with an f2.2 aperture.

The Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max's telephoto camera is the biggest upgrade seen so far, where it comes with a 200MP camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor for high-quality zoom.

Both smartphones come with a 6000mAH battery which is slightly smaller than the basic Huawei Pura 90. However, the Huawei Pura 90 Pro will feature a 66W battery charging speed, while the Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max will feature a wired charging capability of up to 100W, and a wireless charging capability of up to 80W.

All of these devices come with the latest HarmonyOS 6.1 operating system and come with a built-in AI agent system that can quickly access personal information and help generate generative content through voice commands alone.
