Two new watches were also announced by Huawei in China yesterday with the Watch Fit 5 Pro and Watch Fit 5. Both feature a combination of modern design, comprehensive fitness features and long battery life, which is not an excessive new feature.
Like the previous model, the latest version also uses a titanium alloy frame matched with a woven strap to provide a lighter and more comfortable feel. Without a strap, the watch weighs only 30.4 grams, with a choice of White, Orange, and Black colors. Its body still maintains a square shape with rounded sides, and is equipped with a rotatable crown and a dedicated button at the bottom.

WATCH FIT 5 Pro comes with a 1.92-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with a resolution of 480 × 408 pixels with a brightness of up to 3000 nits. It supports fitness functions such as cycling assistant and golf mode in addition to health tracking including ECG and studies related to blood sugar monitoring. Other sensors include a geomagnetic sensor, ambient light, optical heart rate, barometer, temperature and ECG. In terms of battery life, it can last 7 days for normal use or around 10 days if used lightly.

Meanwhile, the WATCH FIT 5 Standard comes with a 1.82-inch AMOLED screen with the same resolution and brightness of up to 2500 nits. This model is equipped with most of the sensors like the Pro version but without ECG and Depth Sensor support. It is offered in Purple, Green, White and Black color options and is designed for users who want a lighter watch but do not have additional features such as Cycling Assistant and Golf Mode found on the Pro model.
Both models also support Bluetooth 6.0, NFC and multiple GNSS location systems that include GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, QZSS and NavIC. It is also equipped with a speaker and microphone for phone calls. In terms of software, both use HarmonyOS and are compatible with Android and iOS devices.
Pricing and availability for the WATCH FIT 5 series in China starts at RMB1099 (~RM637) for the standard model while the WATCH FIT 5 Pro model is priced starting at RMB2099 (~RM1,218) each.
