Minor Hotels, the owner company behind hotels such as Anantara Desaru Coast, Avani Sepang Goldcoast and Avani Kota Kinabalu, has recently announced a collaboration with several global technology companies to develop a data and artificial intelligence infrastructure and platform for the hotel chain.
They have announced a collaboration with Google Cloud, Salesforce, OneTrust and Deloitte as part of the company’s digital modernization and transformation plan to streamline the operations and marketing of all hotels under the Minor Hotels umbrella.
The data and AI platform is currently being developed using technology stacks such as BigQuery and Vertex Ai from Google Cloud as a data and intelligence layer that will allow Minor Hotels to securely access customer data from any hotel chain under Minor Hotels, regardless of the country. To date, they have 640 hotels, resorts and branded residences and other projects under development in 63 countries worldwide.
Minor Hotels also uses Salesforce to automate its marketing and customer communications processes using Agentforce Marketing and Data 360 to integrate customer interests and preferences when booking rooms at these hotels.
OneTrust services are used to ensure that customer data is always managed securely, especially when that information needs to be accessed across different regions, and OneTrust is a platform that can ensure that legal requirements regarding customer digital data are always stored and accessed securely no matter where it is accessed.
The new digital platform will support the development of new AI-powered capabilities designed to improve guest comfort and operational efficiency. Intelligent service agents will help customer relations and hotel teams respond faster to guest requests, while AI-powered engagement tools will support personalized interactions and smarter recommendations for better customer experiences across properties and destinations.
