MSI has recently announced updates to its gaming laptop lineup, which includes models such as the MSI Raider 16 HX, MSI Crosshair 16 HX, MSI Titan 18 HX and MSI Cyborg 15 HX.
MSI Raider 16 HX
MSI is showing off two models in this series, the MSI Raider 16 Max and MSI Raider 16, both of which are powered by a combination of Intel Core Ultra 200HX chips and powerful NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5000 graphics cards, ranging from the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090.
The Raider 16 Max will feature a 16-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2560×1600 and a refresh rate of up to 240Hz, while the Raider 16 will use an IPS display with the same resolution and refresh rate.
Both laptops will also be equipped with the Cooler Boost Trinity+ cooling system which consists of three fans, six heat pipes and five hot air flow chambers around the computer for more efficient heat flow out of the laptop.
Upgrading components on this laptop has also been simplified with the introduction of a panel on the bottom of the laptop that allows users to easily upgrade the amount of memory and storage capacity.
MSI Crosshair 16 HX
If you are more interested in using a thinner laptop, the latest MSI Crosshair 16 series may be more suitable for you. With a chassis thickness of only 21.9mm, this laptop series, consisting of the MSI Crosshair 16 Max and MSI Crosshair 16 still maintains the combination of Intel Core Ultra 200 HX and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5000 processing chips which are quite powerful.
Similar to the MSI Raider Max, the MSI Crosshair 16 MX model also comes with a 16.5-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2560×1440, but with a refresh rate of 165Hz. The MSI Crosshair 16 model also comes with a display with the same size, resolution and refresh rate, but uses an IPS panel.
The laptop's cooling system has also been updated with two cooling fans, five heat pipes and four heat dissipation chambers on the sides and back of the laptop for more efficient gaming and computing performance.
MSI Titan 18 HX
The MSI Titan 18 is the most powerful gaming laptop in the MSI gaming laptop series. It's no different this time, as it comes with a combination of the most powerful components from Intel and NVIDIA, including the use of the Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 290HX Plus chip and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card.
In terms of display, this laptop is loaded with an 18-inch MiniLED display with a 4K resolution (3840×2400) with a 240Hz refresh rate and a brightness value as high as 1000 nits.
In terms of memory and storage support, the MSI Titan 18 HX comes with two memory slots that can support up to 128GB of DDR5 memory, and four storage spaces, one of which is a PCIe 5.0 storage slot and the other three are PCIe 4.0 slots.
MSI Cyborg 15 HX
The MSI Cyborg 15 HX is a laptop that comes with more affordable specifications, but is still capable of running many modern games. This series also consists of two models, the MSI Cyborg 15 HX Max and the MSI Cyborg 15 HX.
The Max model comes with an Intel Core Ultra 200 HX offering along with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card, while the other model comes with the same CPU offering, with a combination of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 or GeForce RTX 5060 graphics cards.
In terms of display, both models also come with a 15.6-inch IPS display with Full HD resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate for a smooth gaming experience. The latest Cooler Boost system with two fans and three heat pipes is present to cool the internal components of this laptop and allow it to operate for various purposes efficiently.
MSI is expected to showcase these laptop offerings during the Computex Taipei event that will take place in early June, and is expected to announce additional details such as launch date and price at the event.
