The Samsung Galaxy A57 5G and Samsung Galaxy A37 5G have finally been officially launched in Malaysia for a while with Galaxy Awesome once again offering interesting features but at a more affordable price compared to the Galaxy S and Galaxy Z series.
The Samsung Galaxy A57 5G is equipped with a 6.7″ AMOLED 120Hz screen, supports HDR10+, is powered by the Exynos 1680 chip, 12GB RAM, 256/512 GB storage and a 5000 mAh battery with 45W charging. This is matched with a 50MP wide-angle main camera, 12MP ultra-wide and 5MP macro. Meanwhile, the selfie camera is 12MP.
The Samsung Galaxy A37 5G is equipped with a 6.7″ AMOLED 120Hz screen without HDR support, powered by the Exynos 1480 chip, 8/12 GB RAM, 256 GB storage and a 5000 mAh battery with 45W charging. This is matched with a 50MP wide-angle main camera, 8MP ultra-wide and 5MP macro. Meanwhile, the selfie camera is 12MP.
What distinguishes the two devices apart from the chip and camera is that the A57 frame is made of aluminum while the A37 is made of plastic. Both pass the IP678 waterproof and dustproof standards. The operating system used is One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 and supports 6 Android version updates and 6 years of security patches.
The AI features offered are Voice Transcription, AI Select, Object Erase, Best Face Auto Trim and Circle to Search with Google.
The selling price in Malaysia is as follows with Samsung offering a rebate of up to RM500 in the form of larger storage and discounts if paid using Shopee PayLater or CIMB and Maybank banking partners.
