Before Capcut and Edits, the app of choice for editing videos on a computer was Adobe Premiere. With more and more editing work being done on smartphones, Premiere is coming to the iPhone in 2025.
This morning Google announced that Adobe Premiere will finally be coming to Android devices this year. It will fully support use on Android smartphones and tablets. The Android version of Premiere will come with templates and special effects specifically for Android devices.
Adobe and Google have not yet given an exact date for Adobe Premiere to arrive on Android. More information may be announced during the Google I/O event, which will take place on May 19-20.
