AMD Will Officially Introduce FSR 4.1 Technology Support for RX 7000 and RX 6000 Series Graphics Cards

When the AMD Radeon RX 9000 series graphics cards were launched, the technology company also introduced an update to the AMD Fidelity Super Resolution graphics software through version FSR 4.0 which features additional features such as additional frame generation (FSR Frame Gen), more efficient frame resolution scaling, reduced ghosting issues and others.

However, until now FSR 4.0 is only offered on AMD's latest graphics card series consisting of the Radeon RX 9070 and 9060 series graphics cards (including XT models) and for older graphics card series such as the Radeon RX 7000 and 6000 to receive FSR 4.0 support, they need to download the updated software introduced by the AMD community itself.

However, AMD has finally said that they will officially offer the FSR 4.0 update for the Radeon RX 7000 and 6000 series of graphics cards, through an announcement made by Jack Huynh, SVP and General Manager of Computing & Graphics.

He said that AMD Radeon RX 7000 graphics cards can download the FSR 4.1 support update starting this July, and it will come with support for more than 300 computer games when it is shown later.

For those who are still using the AMD Radeon RX 6000 series of graphics cards, he said that support for FSR 4.1 will also be introduced in early 2027, without a specific date when it will be introduced.

This means that soon, those who do not want to upgrade their graphics cards will officially receive the latest FSR 4.1 features from AMD, further extending the life of their graphics card components.
