Apple updated its Mac Mini offerings worldwide late last week with the 256GB storage model no longer being offered. The smallest storage is now 512GB with an M4 chip and 16GB of RAM, which is priced at RM3349.
When launched in 2024, the 16/256GB model was priced at RM2,499. The Mac Mini is currently in high demand as it is seen as the best computer to run OpenClaw software for automation tasks. If ordered in Malaysia today, the Mac Mini is only expected to arrive by the end of this month or early June.
Like other device manufacturers, Apple is also facing issues with increasing prices for memory and storage due to high demand for AI data centers. However, Apple certainly cannot absorb the increasing costs forever because the memory crisis is only expected to be resolved in 2028.
