Lenovo, a leading computing brand currently based in China, is reported to be re-introducing their gaming smartphone brand, the Legion Phone, a few years ago, which unfortunately was not very popular at the time because it was loaded with offerings from other more popular brands such as Black Shark, ROG Phone, Red Magic and so on.
Recently, several reports on the internet have reported that the gaming smartphone series will be revived through the Lenovo Legion Y70 2026 model after four years since the smartphone series was introduced.
The Legion Y70 2026 is reported to be introduced on May 19, 2026 in the Chinese market first, and a number of important features of the smartphone seem to have been shown before the launch soon.
First is the use of a BOE Q10 screen display with a size of 6.82 inches and 2K resolution with a refresh rate of 144Hz and a maximum brightness value of 7000 nits. Second, this device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen5 chip (not the Elite model), LPDDR5X “Ultra” memory and UFS 4.1 storage, which is the fastest on the market at the moment.
In terms of camera, the Legion Y70 2026 comes with a triple-lens camera system that uses a 50MP Sony LYT-710 sensor as the main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera and another 2-in-1 sensor to reduce flicker and excessive light exposure. The front camera uses a 32MP sensor.
It is also loaded with an 8000mAH battery, which the promotional image promises a gaming life of 19.3 hours. To cool this device, it is also loaded with a cooling system consisting of a vapor chamber and thermal gel to efficiently dissipate heat, especially from the SoC components.
Looking at the promotional image, the Lenovo Legion Y70 2026 is expected to come with at least two color offerings, one of which is white. The memory and storage configurations are also unknown, but the JD website in China confirms that a 12GB memory and 256GB storage configuration will be offered.
