Not only will PlayStation Studios’ single-player games no longer be available on PC, but yesterday Sony also announced an increase in PlayStation Plus subscription prices in several markets. The new prices will only apply to new customers and for one- and three-month subscriptions only. Today the new subscription prices in Malaysia were officially announced with an increase of RM4 per month.

Sony’s reason given is “current market conditions”. Existing customers can still enjoy the subscription prices they paid previously. The new subscription fee rates are effective from today. The price increase is disappointing due to economic pressures while the Malaysian Ringgit is strengthening against the Dollar and Yen.
Market conditions have led to the price of the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro and PlayStation Portal consoles being increased in Malaysia earlier this month. The RAM crisis still shows no signs of abating in two years.
