The Sony WH-1000XM series headphones have a reputation for offering premium audio quality and attractive designs. But premium headphone enthusiasts say that the plastic construction is not durable enough. Coinciding with the launch of the Sony Xperia 1 VIII today, official images of the Sony 1000XM The ColleXion have been leaked via Android Headlines.
From a design perspective, the Sony 1000X The ColleXion recycles the 1000XM6 ear cup design but is matched with a metal stem and headband. The top of the head pad is made of leather that looks more luxurious.
Due to the use of more premium materials, the Sony 1000X The ColleXion cannot be folded. In addition, rumors say that it has a 24-hour battery, DSEE support and 360-degree audio. In terms of audio capabilities, it is comparable to the 1000XM6 but with more premium construction materials.
These headphones will be launched on May 19th with a price believed to be around $649 (~RM 2572) per pair.
