The new generation of Oppo Reno was officially launched yesterday in China, including two models, the Reno16 and Reno16 Pro. Both come with their own advantages that focus on users who want a premium mid-range device with modern and powerful features.
Reno16 Pro uses a 6.78″ 1.5K OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 3600 nits peak brightness and OPPO Crystal Shield Glass. It is paired with a MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chip with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, 256GB or 512GB UFS 3.1 internal storage and the latest Android 16 operating system with ColorOS 16. There are also modern AI features provided including a special physical button that activates Oppo AI One-Click Notes to help users create travel itineraries and organize notes automatically.
For the camera, the Reno16 Pro is equipped with three rear cameras, namely a 200MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide and a 50MP periscope telephoto with 3.5X optical zoom which also supports 4K60FPS video recording. The front camera comes with a 50MP resolution and 4K60FPS video recording capability.
A 7000mAh battery is used with 80W fast charging support and 50W wireless charging. In addition, it is equipped with an in-screen fingerprint scanner, infrared, audio, stereo speakers and waterproof with IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K.

For the camera, Reno16 comes with a triple rear camera system, namely a 200MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide and a 50MP periscope telephoto with 3.5X optical zoom. It also supports 4K 60fps video recording, while the front camera has a resolution of 50MP with 4K 60fps video recording capability.

The official price for the OPPO Reno16 Pro starts at RMB 4,499 (~RM2,620) for the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage option. The 12GB RAM with 512GB storage model is priced at RMB 4,899 (~RM2,853) while the 16GB RAM with 512GB storage variant is priced at RMB 5,299 (~RM3,086).
Meanwhile, the OPPO Reno16 is offered at a starting price of RMB 3,499 (~RM2,038) for the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage model. It also comes in a 16GB RAM variant with 256GB storage priced at RMB 3,899 (~RM 2,271), a 12GB RAM model with 512GB storage at RMB 3,999 (~RM 2,329), and a 16GB RAM variant with 512GB storage at RMB 4,299 (~RM 2,504).
