The Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 series devices started receiving the One UI 8.5 update in Malaysia this morning. We learned this morning with the update size being around 4.4 GB and it is still based on Android 16.
One UI 8.5 brings various flagship features that were previously only available on the Galaxy S26 series in Malaysia such as improved image editing, Perplexity model support, camera with smarter document scanning mode, smarter screen video capture (recording area can be selected) and AirDrop support for Apple devices via Quick Share.
Of course, the main efforts are toward Galaxy AI – more powerful image editing and generation tools, smarter Bixby, deeper integration with Perplexity AI, new camera features like Document scan, Log video previews in real time and dual video recording using the selfie and one of the back cameras simultaneously
