Two years ago, the Music Frame speaker was launched as Samsung's first attempt to combine an audio system with a minimalist living room aesthetic. The front looks like a picture frame and it supports the Q-Series and SmartThings ecosystems.
This morning, the Samsung Music Studio 7 and Samsung Music Studio 5 were officially launched in Malaysia with both speakers receiving the touch of designer Erwan Bouroullec. It looks minimalist with the target being placed on a work desk or lounge area at home but at the same time looks like an art sculpture that does not interfere with the design of the space.
Music Studio 7
The Music Studio 7 LS71H is the flagship model supporting 3.1.1 channels through drivers firing to the left, right, front and top in a square-shaped body. Spatial 3D audio can be played with the help of Samsung Audio Lab Pattern Control Technology. Although designed to work independently, this WiFi Speaker can also be used with Samsung TVs and soundbars through Q-Symphony support.
Music Studio 5
Music Studio 5 LS51H is the most 2.1 audio model that receives the Samsung Audio Lab touch. A 4″ woofer is matched with two tweeter drivers. Like the model above, this speaker also supports Bluetooth and WiFi. Its smaller size and round front give it a “face” like an old record player placed on a work desk.
In Malaysia, Music Studio 7 is sold at RM 1,999 while Music Studio 5 is priced at RM 1,199 each. But for a limited period of rebates, Music Studio 7 is offered at a promotional price of RM 1,599 and Music Studio 5 is priced at RM 999 each.
