Samsung officially started offering its latest Odyssey G8, Odyssey G7 and Viewfienity S8 gaming monitor series to the Malaysian market this week after previously only opening pre-orders.
A total of three Odyssey G8 models are offered. Odyssey G80HS with a 32″ 6K IPS screen and a refresh rate of up to 330Hz. Odyssey G80HF with a 27″ 5K IPS screen and a refresh rate of up to 360Hz. These two models come with FreeSync Premium Pro, G-Sync and HDR10+ Gaming support. Inputs are again HDMI 2.1 and DP 2.1.
Finally, there is the Odyssey G80SH with a 32″ 4K QD‑OLED screen and a refresh rate of up to 240Hz. It exceeds the HDR True Black 500 standard and the screen has an anti-reflective coating. All three were shown at the CES event last January.
Meanwhile, the ViewFinity S8 S85TH is a 40″ WUHD 5K2K monitor with a 144Hz refresh rate and a curved screen specifically for productivity. The Intelligent Eye Care feature is included to reduce eye strain when the monitor is used for long periods of time. It also supports Thunderbolt™ 5 connectivity for data transfer up to 80Gbps and 140W of power.
The Odyssey OLED G7 G73SH is a 32″ OLED 16:9 monitor with Dual‑Mode Resolution support. Through it, users can switch between 4K/165Hz or FHD/330Hz resolutions. This monitor also offers a 0.03ms GTG response time. The panel receives VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 and HDR10+ certification. It also supports FreeSync Premium Pro technology. In terms of connectivity, this monitor is equipped with DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1 and audio jacks. The official selling price in Malaysia is as follows.
