Samsung OLED Display Sensor Screen Can Detect Pulse and Blood Pressure

At the Society for Information Display (SID) Display Week 2026 event that took place this week, Samsung demonstrated OLED Display Sensor technology that has the ability to detect pulse and blood pressure directly on the screen surface.

This 6.7″ screen still maintains the 500 PPI pixel density required for flagship devices while offering sharp visuals. In addition to pulse and blood pressure, the OLED Sensor can also detect blood flow and track several other user health metrics without the need for separate sensors like those used in smartwatches.

The same panel also supports Flex Magic Pixel technology that powers the Privacy Display system on the Galaxy S26 Ultral. When activated, the viewing angle of the screen is limited, causing the screen to only be visible to the device owner and not to those around them.
