Singapore Airlines (SIA) has become the latest airline to offer Starlink internet services to passengers. Services will begin in the first quarter of 2027 with full deployment scheduled for 2029.
SIA said its Airbus A350‑900 Long-Haul (LH), Airbus A350‑900 Ultra-Long-Range (ULR) and Airbus A380 aircraft will be equipped with Starlink antennas that support internet speeds of up to 1 Gbps. Passengers will be able to work, stream videos, play games and use social media more smoothly with the fast internet.
Starlink internet will be offered to all cabin classes with unlimited free access for Suites, First Class, Business Class, PPS Club and KrisFlyer passengers.
SIA follows Emirates, Qatar Airways, United Airlines, British Airways Aer Lingus, Iberia and Vueling, which are also using Starlink. At the same time, Starlink competitor Amazon Leo is also offering satellite internet service for Delta passenger planes starting in 2028.
