Last year, Sony introduced their portable air conditioner accessory, the Sony Reon Pocket Pro for the Asian market, and it is offered in the local market at a price of RM1119. This air conditioner cools the body and comes with the ability to control the level of coolness of the air being circulated.
Recently, Sony has introduced an update to the accessory called the Sony Reon Pocket Pro Plus which is the same accessory, but comes with better cooling capabilities than before.
Sony has made a comparison of use in a room with a temperature of 35 degrees Celsius, and the REON Pocket Pro Plus model comes with the ability to cool the body two degrees Celsius lower than before.
Similar to the previous model, the REON Pocket Pro Plus uses a Peltier cooling system that uses electricity to cool the cooling plate. The fan is only used to circulate cool air throughout the user's body.
The REON Pocket Pro Plus cooler will also come with a remote control accessory that can help users turn the device on or off and set the cooling temperature and fan speed.
Currently, the device is only available in a few countries in the European region at a price of 199 Euros. Sony has not announced when it will be available in other markets. For Malaysia, the Sony REON Pocket Pro model is still offered at a price of RM999.
