Steam Frame is a virtual reality gaming device that was introduced as part of three new gaming devices introduced by Valve, including the Steam Machine and Steam Controller.
Steam Frame is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and can be used independently and is seen to be able to run a number of computer games via Proton code translation software that allows a number of games that are normally only playable on the X86 platform on the Steam Frame system that uses Qualcomm's Arm-based processor.
Recently, the Steam Frame has also finally been listed on Qualcomm's website, specifically the XR-VR-AR section of the website which previously listed products such as the Meta Oakley, Samsung Galaxy XR and HTC Vive Eagle.
With this listing, it is expected that the Steam Frame will be on sale soon. Two weeks ago, the Steam Controller controller went on sale on the Steam platform and sold out in less than an hour. The price tag and release date of the Steam Frame are not yet known, but like the Steam Controller, it will likely be sold on the same platform.
