Microsoft is now reportedly actively looking for artificial intelligence companies to buy or invest in, thus further strengthening their portfolio of artificial intelligence-based offerings. This move is also seen as Microsoft's effort not to put all their investments and focus solely on OpenAI.
Previously, Microsoft had considered taking over Cursor, but the move was seen as late, and Cursor announced a collaboration with SpaceX with the potential for it to be taken over.
Various companies have been seen to have begun to actively lead the artificial intelligence arena, including Google, Meta, Amazon, SpaceX and so on. Microsoft certainly does not want to be left behind in this arena. This computing giant was initially seen to start stealing the attention of many through CoPilot which is powered by the OpenAI model, however, day by day it seems to be getting left behind and forgotten.
Now, after the exclusive contract between the two parties ended, Microsoft is seen to be free to develop their own model, and is no longer fully tied to OpenAI. With this new development, let's all look forward to what Microsoft will do and how they intend to strengthen their offerings in the artificial intelligence arena.
