Synology PAS7700 Critical Storage Server Now Available in the Malaysian Market

In the middle of last year, we reported on one of the largest storage products released by Synology, the Synology PAS7700.

This storage solution uses full NVMe SSD storage, and comes with support for 48 SSD storage in a 4U storage rack design, supporting a total storage of up to 1.65 Petabytes and can be combined with seven other expansion units.

Meanwhile, the total memory of this SSD storage solution can be upgraded to 2TB and can also support 100GbE networks. With all these features combined, Synology says that this storage comes with a throughput rate of 30GB/s and an I/O throughput of 2 million IOPS.

In terms of security, among the support shown on the PAS7700 storage server is support for immutable screenshots and the WORM (Write Once, Read Many) file system, which ensures that the content on the server machine cannot be changed and modified arbitrarily.

The Synology PAS7700 enterprise storage is built for organizations where storage performance directly impacts productivity and business continuity, such as semiconductor design, healthcare, game development, engineering and manufacturing. These industries depend on consistent performance and continuous service availability as multiple users work with large files, frequent rebuilds, virtual machines, databases and business-critical systems at the same time.

Synology in Malaysia recently announced that the PAS7700 enterprise storage equipment has begun to be offered in the Malaysian market, and companies interested in purchasing it can fill out an inquiry form on the Synology Malaysia website. We were also told that the price for the PAS7700 storage depends on the storage configuration chosen, and therefore, it is better to be answered by a salesperson than Synology itself.
