Elon Musk has now announced that the xAI company has been dissolved, and it is now a division focused on artificial intelligence products under SpaceX called SpaceXAI.
For your information, previously, SpaceX had acquired xAI, which is a company focused on artificial intelligence and also Elon Musk's social site X. With the acquisition, a number of things were planned by Elon Musk, including to establish a data center in space.
This name change is seen to occur in parallel with the announcement of a collaboration between SpaceX and Anthropic, where Anthropic will use SpaceXAI's supercomputer to obtain additional processing capacity for their artificial intelligence models.
In addition to the collaboration with Anthropic, SpaceX also recently announced a collaboration with Cursor, in addition to also announcing a collaboration with Tesla for TeraFab.
